I didn’t find design. Design found me — and then the corporate world spent years trying to sand down every interesting edge I had. I learned to make myself smaller, safer, more who I “should” be. I learned to call it being professional.
For a long time, that worked. Corporate life was good, in the way that things can be good and still quietly wrong. Then came the children, the sleepless reckonings, and the particular clarity that arrives when you realize: you are building a life — and it might as well be the right one.

Website Alchemy is what happens when someone with years of website design and development craft, a lifelong obsession with what makes things beautiful and true, and absolutely nothing left to prove, decides to build something entirely on their own terms

The making is the thing.
I am, at my core, a maker. Strategy without craft produces directions no one wants to follow. Craft without strategy produces beautiful things that do nothing. I don’t separate them — and that’s where the magic lives.
Website Design & Build.
The primary work. I design and build websites that feel like an experience — not a template, not a brochure, not something you’re embarrassed to share. Every project includes copy, so your site sounds as considered as it looks. Bring your brand or we’ll make sure the foundation is solid before we start.
Website Maintenance.
A website is not a set-and-forget thing. It needs attention, updates, security care, and a steady hand keeping things running exactly as they should. I look after sites the way I’d want mine looked after — with genuine care and zero cutting of corners. You focus on your work. I’ll watch the back door.

What makes the work, work.
The work I make is better because of everything I do that isn’t work.
I’m an avid reader — the kind with an audiobook running in the car and a Kindle title going simultaneously. (Sometimes the same book on both, just to finish it twice as fast. Yes, they sync. I was delighted to discover this.)
When I must interact with the real world, I prefer it to be outdoors. We recently upgraded to our second camping trailer — our family outgrew the first one. Colorado gives us plenty of reasons to keep exploring.
And whenever I can: travel. Weekend getaways with the girls. California wine country. Week-long adventures with the family. No trip is off the table.
At the core of all of it — I’m drawn to the edges of things. The places where the rational and the mysterious meet, and neither quite explains the other. That sensibility lives in everything I make: precision that doesn’t preclude wonder.

Authenticity is the only strategy that compounds.
Trends shift. Algorithms change. The businesses that last are the ones that are genuinely, unmistakably themselves — because that’s the one thing no competitor can copy.

Every business has something extraordinary inside it.
I have never worked with a client whose brand didn’t have real magic in it somewhere. The job is not to invent something — it’s to find what’s already there and make it visible.

Craft is a form of respect.
For the client. For the audience. For the work itself. I do not do things halfway. I am precise, deliberate, and genuinely invested in making something that deserves to exist.
iv.
You should be able to feel the difference.
Not just see it. A brand that truly fits feels like something lifting — like you’ve been carrying a costume and someone finally handed you your actual clothes.
